Removalists in Davidson
Moving into the Forest, or finally moving on after decades? We're named for the street on the old quarry descent, and we move houses the way these blocks ask to be moved: driveway walked before the day, boxes staged in the under-house garage, and the job finished when the house works, not when the truck's empty.

The arrival move, done properly
Most of our Davidson work is a family moving in for the long haul, into a split-level house on a sloping block that hasn't changed hands in years. That move deserves more than a truck and a stopwatch. It gets three deliberate stages:
The scope
Before the day, we work out where the truck stands, what the driveway will take, and which door each room loads through. Steep drive? We plan the carry, not discover it.
The carry
Boxes land in the under-house garage first so the living levels stay clear. Furniture takes the planned route, level by level, heavy things placed once and placed right.
The settle
Beds assembled, kitchen live, kids' rooms sorted for school on Monday. We call it settled by Sunday: the house working, not just full.
One rate per crew. No second price.
You pay for the crew and the hours, and that's the whole model. The tier depends on the size of the move, and we'll tell you honestly which one fits before anything is booked.
Smaller loads: a unit-sized move, a partial house, a piano on its own.
The Davidson standard: a 2 to 3 bedroom house, with hands enough for a split-level carry.
Large homes, 4+ bedrooms, or forty years of accumulation moving in one day.
We plan the driveway before we quote the move
Every block here was cut into the same old quarry slope, which is why we walk the drive first. Whether the truck can stand on it, or stages at the top while we carry down. Whether the under-house garage clears a fridge on a trolley. Which level the sofa enters from, so it never turns a tight stair it didn't need to.
- Truck staging: short cul-de-sacs mean we often stage at the top of the street and roll trolleys down, planned, not improvised.
- The under-house garage: best staging room in the house when the clearance allows it, and a trap when it doesn't. We check before the day.
- Split-level carry order: each level loads through its own best door, so the day runs in one direction instead of doubling back.
